FL Firefighters Take First Place at FDNY EMS Competition
A team of St. Petersburg firefighters took first place at this year's FDNY Medical Special Operations Conference EMS competition.
The three firefighters/medics competing against teams from around the world in multiple simulated, high-pressure scenarios. The teams were tested in areas such as scene searches, teamwork, difficult patient access and scene management.Â
Other departments earning honors at the competition included Pembroke Pines placing second and Miramar coming in third.
