According to KHOU-TV, Bollin allegedly led Texas Department of Public Safety troopers on a high-speed chase to his home in Iola in neighboring Grimes County following the shooting. During the pursuit, Bollin is accused of shooting and wounding a trooper.

An online post by the DPS stated that the trooper was taken to the hospitalin serious but stable condition.

Bollin had worked at Kent Moore Cabinets, although authorities weren't sure how long he had been employed there. Officials say he was acting alone and had used a handgun in the shooting, according to CNN.

Police did not know what the motive of the shooting was. Investigators were interviewing witnesses to try to determine what happened before authorities arrived.

"We're trying to find the connection to (the suspect) and this business, and then we'll be able to figure out exactly who we're looking for and be able to get that out to the public," James said.

Kent Moore Cabinets was open at the time of the shooting, and James said that many employees had been inside the business.
