A man is accused of threatening Houston firefighters with a rifle after they saved his life late Tuesday.
The incident happened when crews responded to a call at a home in the city's northeast section shortly before midnight, KTRK-TV reports. When the reached the scene, firefighters found a man who had overdosed, and they administered Narcan.
After the main regained consciousness, he became agitated and grabbed a rifle. He then told the firefighters to leave the house.
The firefighters left the house and contacted police. Once officers, arrived they surrounded the house, and the man eventually surrendered without incident.
"We're glad all firefighters are OK," Police Lt. M. Contreras told KTRK. "We'll always be here for them. That's for sure."
The man faces an aggravated assault charges, according to police.
