Video: PSA with San Francisco EMTS Hits Film Festival

Created by Academy of Art University students, the four-minute "First to Respond" video will be screening at the San Diego International Shortsfest as EMS Week begins.

A PSA featuring San Francisco EMTs will be screened at the San Diego International Shortsfest this weekend.

The four-minute "First to Respond" video features the San Francisco Fire Department medics as they respond to calls. It was created by Academy of Art University students during two nightly ride-alongs.

"What a great start to #EMSWEEK2021 to find out that one of our Public Service Announcements filmed by our own #SF college students will be awarded and recognized at the San Diego Short Film Festival!!" the department stated in an online update.

The PSA will screen at the Shortsfest, which is part of the San Diego International Film Festival, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
