The AVONDALE, PA, VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY has put in service a 4 GUYS pumper built on a Spartan Gladiator cab and chassis equipped with a 4-door, 6-seat climate-controlled cab, raised roof and full-height rear doors. It is powered by a 500-hp Cummins ISX-12 diesel engine and an Allison 4000EVS automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale QMAX-XS175-23L, single-stage pump, a 1,000-gallon UPF Poly Tank III water tank, FRC InControl 400 pressure governor and a Hypro Foam Pro 3012 foam system with 30-gallon Class A foam tank. It's also equipped with a Kussmaul auto-eject, LED compartment lighting, slide-out tool trays and boards, ROM shutters, Harrison 10kW hydraulic generator, Will-Burt Night Scan telescopic light tower, Hannay electric reel, Federal Q2B mechanical siren, front booster reel, FRC Evolution LED brow light, Roto-Ray and LED warning lights. ANTONIA, MO, FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT has put into service a mini-pumper built by E.J. Metals Inc., on a Ford F450 Super Duty XL 4x4 cab/chassis. It's powered by 6.7-liter Power Stroke 300-hp engine and a Ford six-speed automatic transmission. It has two on board pumps consisting of a Darley 1-1/2 AGH 150-gpm single stage hydraulic pump and an E.J. Metals spec ultra-high pressure hydraulic pump, producing 8 gpm at 2,800 psi. It also has a UPF 200-gallon poly water tank with 10-gallon Class A foam cell, Scotty 4071-NH foam system, Warn XD9000i 9,000-pound winch, Amdor roll-up doors and Whelen LED emergency warning lights. The GARDEN CITY, NY, FIRE DEPARTMENT has placed in service a custom, blacked-out heavy rescue built by Ferrara. It's built on a Ferrara Inferno cab and chassis with an 8-occupant cab. It's powered by a Cummins 500-hp engine and an Allison transmission. Other features include a 350-pound Purple K system and the F-Shield black-out package, which eliminates all chrome and brightwork, including a black Federal Q siren that started out as chrome. In the front bumper, there are a total of eight extrication tools and a Ramsey 15,000-pound winch. It also has a custom-lit front grille. Other features include LED headlights, set roof hooks on the side of the cab, heavy-duty interior with all metal construction, Smartdock IMMI SCBA brackets, a Kussmaul status center and charging module, Will-Burt NightScan light tower with LED lights, four preconnected Holmatro tools and Holmatro quick connections on both sides of the front bumper, coffin-style compartments, speedy dry hopper and ROM roll-up doors.
