CHARLOTTE, N.C. --
Flames tore through the old Drexel Heritage Plant 3 and 4 Friday morning.
Crews at the scene said flames shot as high as five stories in the air. Firefighters had to call for help from neighboring counties.
The blaze broke out just after 3 a.m. Friday and was still burning early Friday morning.
The Drexel Heritage Plant is closed so no workers were hurt. Firefighters pulled their trucks back so they wouldn't suffer property damage.
