A fire at an apartment building off Oberlin Road Friday morning killed two people, including an N.C. State student, authorities said.
The fire happened at 6:30 a.m. in a house that was transformed into a duplex on Groveland Avenue , which is just off Oberlin Road and Hillsborough Street.
Two people have been confirmed dead at the duplex at 126 and 128 Groveland Avenue, authorities said. It's not clear if the other person was a college student, but was in the college age range, police said.
Both victims were found on the second floor of the duplex.
Two people were also injured in the fire, one while jumping from the second floor to the ground to escape the blaze, police said.
Eight people live in the duplex, but 10 people were inside when the fire broke out in a game room on the second floor of 128 Groveland Ave., police said.
