Maryland Police Make Arrest In Massive Fire Case

OCEAN CITY, Md. --

Police arrested a man in connection with a massive nine-alarm fire that happened on Ocean Citys boardwalk.

The fire happened in the resort town on March 30.

Gregory Wallace Kern, 48, of Ocean City, Md., faces numerous arson charges.

Prosecutors said he was an employee of the Dough Roller restaurant.

The fire started in the restaurant and spread to the Sunshine Beachwear store, firefighters said.

Both businesses were heavily damaged by the fire.
