Eight Fire Companies Respond To Pennsylvania Blaze

Fire officials said they believe the fire started in a compressor located in the basement.

KILBUCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. --

Firefighters responded to a fire at Sunny Jim's restaurant in Kilbuck Township, Allegheny County early Sunday morning.

Dispatchers received 911 calls shortly before 6 a.m. for the 200 block of Camp Horne Road. A resident of an apartment is said to have escaped the fire safely.

"It's pretty bad. It's not looking too good. A lot of work ahead of us I guess," said Jim Oliver, the restaurant's owner.

Fire officials said they believe the fire started in a compressor located in the basement.

There were no reports of injuries.

The fire continued to burn about an hour later as eight fire companies responded to fight the fire.
