COLUMBIA, Calif. --
A man has been arrested for alleged arson after pouring gasoline near his neighbor's trailer, the Tuolumne County sheriff's office said.
Benjamin Beck, a resident of 49er Trailer Park, was arrested on suspicion of felony arson.
Beck's neighbor and the park's owner, Bill Meissner, said he awoke on the night of Jan. 31 to find that his wood pile was on fire. He extinguished the blaze, the sheriff's office said.
Meissner said he found gasoline splashed around his trailer and on his vehicles the next morning that had failed to ignite, the sheriff's office said.
Beck worked for Meissner, the sheriff's office said.
Beck is being held on a $100,000 bail.
