CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio --
A pair of campers had to be rescued in Clermont County after being trapped by rising water Tuesday night.
The couple was actually stranded for some time as rescue crews tried to find them along the Little Miami River.
"We were trapped up against the bank and they had to come and get us out. We couldn't get up the hill," Camper Charles Davis said.
Rescue crews used sirens to try to find out if the campers could hear them.
Davis and his wife said they know their rescue could have turned out much differently and they're grateful to the firefighters.
"We love them. They couldn't have done a better job," Davis said.
After a recent drowning on the river, rescue crews said they're pleased with the outcome.
"A happy ending is much better than the one we had down here a few weeks ago," Miami Township Fire Department Chief Jim Whitworth said.
The couple was from Price Hill and had been spending a few days camping along the river.
Paramedics checked them out and said that despite being shook up, they??ll be just fine.
