Mishaps Leave Two California Firefighters Hurt

One was run over by a bulldozer.

QUINCY, Calif. --

A firefighter operating a bulldozer was airlifted Tuesday to a local hospital after being injured when the machine rolled over, officials said.

The bulldozer was being operated by a contractor at the Cold Fire when the incident happened at about 3:30 p.m.

The operator was transported by helicopter from the Canyon Complex site to Enloe Medical Facility in Chico at about 5:25 p.m.

His condition is currently being evaluated, officials said.

Earlier Tuesday, a firefighter fell while mopping up hot spots at the Cold Fire and had to be transported by Air Ambulance to Reno for treatment, officials said.
