Fort Pierre, South Dakota Firefighters To Thank Friend With Fireworks
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- Some Fort Pierre firefighters are preparing to thank a longtime supporter with New Year's Eve fireworks.
The department will hold a simple display outside St. John's Catholic Church Friday night for Father Dale Kutil, a parish priest who is battling cancer.
Fort Pierre Fire Chief Carl Rathbun said Kutil has become the department's unofficial chaplain and is a good friend to the crew.
