Terry Saunders was on his route when he heard a fire alarm and smelled smoke on Lexington's Hill Rise Drive.

Saunders called 911 and firefighters quickly arrived to knock down the flames.

Damage was confined to the kitchen, but the rest of the apartment suffered smoke damage.
