New Jersey Ambulance Station Bids Rejected

WEST DEPTFORD TWP. -- Township officials have tabled a motion to award a contract to rebuild the burned down south ambulance station.

At last week's committee meeting, the governing body postponed awarding the work to low bidder W.J. Gross Inc., for $460,091 in construction fees.

Administrator Gerald White said eight bids were submitted in all. He said officials feel the cost is inflated, adding that the expense was expected to be in the $360,000 to $380,000 range.
