Elderly Woman Saved by Tenn. Crews Dies

An 81-year-old woman died of injuries Monday night after Memphis firefighters rescued her from a house fire in Frayser, according to fire department officials. The blaze was reported about 8:25 p.m. at 3771 Belleau, near North Watkins and St. Elmo. Firefighters rescued the woman in less than 15 minutes. The identity of the victim was not available.
