Crash In POV Claims Alabama Firefighter Rushing To Call

Matthew Karl Brimer, 18, of the Weaver, Alabama Fire Department died in a vehicle accident in Calhoun County on his way to a reported structure fire, Saturday.

He was a graduate of Jacksonville Christian Academy, was enrolled in EMT school and was working towards becoming a full-time firefighter. He joined as the youngest member of the Weaver Fire Department in April of 2003.

He had completed 30-35 hours out of the minimum 40 hours required for his driver
