Pa. Students, Driver Narrowly Escape Bus Fire

PITTSBURGH -- Five students and a bus driver narrowly escaped after the bus they were in went up in flames in Pittsburgh's Friendship neighborhood on Wednesday. The bus was on its way to Pittsburgh Arsenal when the driver and children noticed smoke. The driver pulled over and got the students out. When the driver turned around, the bus was engulfed, authorities said. Investigators said a faulty heater is the possible cause of the blaze.

Five students and a bus driver narrowly escaped after the bus they were in went up in flames in Pittsburgh's Friendship neighborhood on Wednesday.

The bus was on its way to Pittsburgh Arsenal when the driver and children noticed smoke. The driver pulled over and got the students out. When the driver turned around, the bus was engulfed, authorities said.

Investigators said a faulty heater is the possible cause of the blaze.

No injuries were reported, and the students were safely transported to the school.
