An Omaha firefighter suffered burns to his face during the rescue of a 3-year-old girl from a blaze on Tuesday night.
The firefighter, the girl and a woman related to the child were all transported to Nebraska Medical Center and were all later released, according to KETV.
Crews responded to the fire at a home near 19th and O street at approximately 6:25 p.m.
Firefighter spotted the girl wrapped in a blanket on the first floor and broke a window to rescue her. Paramedics took the girl and a woman related to the child to the Nebraska Medical Center.
Fire investigators said the blaze was the result of children playing with fire.
