Four people were injured in a fire at an apartment building on Indianapolis' east side on Friday.

INDIANAPOLIS

Four people were injured in a fire at an apartment building on Indianapolis' east side on Friday.

The fire began after noon at the three-story building in the 6100 block of East Washington Street, near the intersection of Arlington Avenue.

Some tenants jumped out of the burning building, and others were rescued by firefighters and neighbors.

Injuries were burns and broken limbs, investigators said.
