SC Fire Truck Sideswipes Car on Way to Fire

An Anderson County firefighter was charged with driving a fire truck left of center after it collided with a car while responding to a fire call.

According to a news report from Fox54 WFXG no one was injured when a Grove Fire Department fire truck swerved left of center and side swiped a vehicle Sunday afternoon. The accident happened at the intersection with Brown Road about four miles from Starr at about 5:20 pm, the television station reported.

The station reported that both the driver of the fire truck and the car were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.
