Two Critical After Crashing into Chicago Fire Apparatus

The car veered in front of the Chicago fire vehicle early Saturday.

Two men were seriously injured early Saturday when their car veered in front of a Chicago fire apparatus.

The men were driving northbound on North Ridge when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes in the West Rogers Park neighborhood around 2:55 a.m.

The car crashed into the fire apparatus, CBS Chicago reports.

The force of the crash pushed the apparatus into a parked vehicle.

The two men were rushed to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston and are listed in critical condition. 

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries in the crash.
