Eight Seattle firefighters suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Eight firefighters were injured when two Seattle fire apparatus collided Sunday.

The pumper and tractor-drawn aerial ladder were responding to an automatic alarm when they crashed about 8 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast 65th Street and 12th Avenue Northeast.

No structural damage occurred when the ladder truck struck Elements Massage, according to QFox13.com.

Capt. Shata Stephenson were taken to Harborview Medical Center for minor injuries and they were released.

“Fire crews did a good job of staying calm in a very stressful situation,” Stephenson said. “We’re very fortunate no one was significantly hurt.”
