Two dozen apartments were damaged but no injuries were reported in an early morning fire in Irving on Tuesday.
The fire broke out around 1:40 a.m. at the complex in the 3800 block of Esters Drive. Heavy smoke and flames were seen on the third floor of one of the units, Irving fire officials said.
The three-alarm blaze spread quickly through the building's attic, but the fire was quickly controlled, officials said.
It is unclear how many families were affected by the fire.
