The 2009 Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) Program opened on April 15 and the government has appropriated $510 million for this year's program. The program is designed to enhance and improve the the services provided by fire departments and non-affiliated emergency medical service organizations across the country.
Firehouse.com Grants Contributor Brian Vickers talks about the changes in this year's guidance, compared to the past few years. He also discusses the changes in structured priorities for the equipment, regional and vehicle grants.
