Rothschild, WI, Fire Chief Charged with Child Enticement

Riverside Fire District Chief Robert Bowen was placed on paid leave after his arrest.

The chief of the Riverside Fire District is on paid leave after his arrest for child enticement/sexual conduct.

After his arrest Tuesday, Robert Bowen, 52, posted $15,000 bail, according to WSAW. 

He is accused of having an inappropriate sexual contact with a person under 18.

The district attorney requested a high cash bond based on the severity of the allegations while Bowen's attorney argued for a lesser bond amount, saying he has no criminal history and has ties to the community. 

Bowen has been chief six years.

No interim chief has been named.
