U.S. Fire Administrator Visits Sydney Fire Station

Firefighter safety and lithium-ion batteries are among issues facing firefighters in the Sydney and the United States.

During a visit to a Sydney fire station, U.S. Fire Administrator Dr. Lori Moore-Merrell took interest in the laundry system used for contaiminated turnout gear.

She said the U.S. "has a long way to go to get to where Sydney is. 

The rising number of lithium-ion battery fires are concerning to firefighters in the United States and Sydney.
