"Today was a great milestone. We’re not done with this yet, but today was very vindicating."

That's what former St. John's County Fire Chief Scott Bullard said after jurors decided the county breached his contract by forcing him out.

The county must pay Bullard $500,000, First Coast News reported.

The decision came just over two years since he resigned.
