A firefighter died Sunday battling the Lake Ellsworth fire in Comanche County.
"(W)e have experienced a firefighter fatality at the NE Kings Rd and Lake Ellsworth fire on Sunday," Comanche County/Lawton Emergency Management posted on Facebook.
The fire is still burning, according to their posts.
Just after 12 p.m. Sunday, the emergency management office put out an evacuation warning, stating there was a fast-moving fire near the West Lake Ellsworth, near the Caddo-Comanche County Line. By 5 p.m., the evacuation order had been lifted.
