Funeral arrangements have been set for a fire lieutenant who suffered a medical emergency at a fire last week.
Lt. Mark Dranbauer, 44, was with the department for 23 years.
"Even after death, Lt. Dranbauer continues to think of others as his tussues and organs will be donated and will save an estimated 70 lives," the family shared.
Dranbauer suffered a medical emergency about half way up a ladder at a structure fire on Saratoga Street on May 12.
His crew quickly rescued him from the ladder and transported him to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
A viewing will be on Friday, May 23, from 3-9 p.m. at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W. MacPhail Road, in Bel Air, MD.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, at Mountain Christian Church, 1824 Mountain Road, in Joppatowne, MD.
Uniform personnel should line up at 10 a.m. There will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church.
