A Warren Township firefighter died earlier this month after participating in a training exercise.
Firefighter Douglas Thompson, 65, was involved in the detail on Sept. 4.
The following day, Thompson was found deceased at home after suffering an apparent heart-related issue, the U.S. Fire Administration reported Wednesday.
Thompson had served with the department for 12 years.
