Two Arizona firefighters and a civlilan were killed in a head-on crash involving an ambulance Sunday night.
The two Timber Mesa firefighters and the driver of the other vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, AZFamily reported.
The passenger vehicle was headed west when it crossed the center line and hit the ambulance head-on, according to Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers.
The crash investigation is continuing.
"Our entire organization is grieving the loss of our team members. We ask for privacy and compassion as we support the families, co-workers, and community during this very difficult time," according to a statement posted by officers on the department's Facebook page.
