"I pray that we would cherish the sweet memories that we have of 'Mike Mike. Lord, I want to thank you for his service, I want to thank you for his dedication. That when that alarm went off, he went with his brothers out to go help somebody," said Joanna Fire Department Chaplain Jake Patterson.

Firefighter Krystan Donya Langston told WYFF:  "All the guys at the department just loved himHe got along with everyone; he was friendly. I don't think he ever met a stranger; he was just an all-around great guy. And he will be greatly missed."
