Fire Chief Arrested in Murder of FL Business Owner

June 7, 2022
Baker Fire Chief Brian Easterling was charged with premeditated murder in the shooting death of a Pensacola business owner.

Police arrested Brian Keith Easterling, the fire chief of the Baker Fire Department, Monday in connection with the murder of a Pensacola business.

The 63-year-old business owner was found dead at the business Sunday and police said surveillance footage showed that he was murdered last week.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said Easterling was arrested "without incident" on Monday, according to WKRG.

The sheriff's office said surveillance video showed that Easterling "entered the business and shot the business owner over a dispute about prior business dealings.”

Officials believed the business owner may have owed Easterling money.

Easterling is charged with premeditated murder.
