Photos: Crews Battle 5-Alarm Fire at NJ Building

Firefighters worked for five hours to contain a fire that damaged several Cliffside Park businesses.

Crews from several fire departments responded to a five-alarm fire in Cliffside Park on Sept. 5.

Cliffside Park firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke from a one-story taxpayer on Lawton Avenue around 7:30 p.m. A second alarm was called bringing in units from neighboring jurisdictions.

The fire reached five alarms and was placed under control five hours after crews arrived.
