Hannay Reels to Showcase Hose and Cable Reels for Fire Apparatus at FDIC 2026
From April 20–25, 2026, Hannay Reels will exhibit its range of high-performing fire and rescue reels at FDIC International, which will be held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN. The SBEF hose reel and ECR1600 cable reel, which provide significant performance in confined locations, will be on display at booth 4141.
The SBF for Booster Hose reels weigh up to 30 percent less than conventional booster reels and are made of aluminum. The reels can reach pressures of up to 1,000 psi and handle 3/4-inch or 1-inch I.D. hose.
While a gear-driven crank rewind with a pinion brake is typical for a manual reel, the SBF for Booster Hose reels has a chain-and-sprocket drive operated by an electric motor. Booster hose reels are used to quickly put out small flames or to set up larger-volume hoses. These reels are perfect for a variety of UTVs, skid units and fire engines.
A chain-and-sprocket drive with an electric motor powers the quick and effective CR1600 Manual or Power Rewind Reels for Live Cable. The standard model has a 45-amp collector assembly with three conductors. When rescue equipment, on-site electricity and lights are required, these reels are perfect.
Hannay Reels has been serving the fire and rescue sector since the 1950s and consistently provides excellent performance in harsh environments. They prioritize operator safety while designing and assembling fire hose and cable reels that are robust, trustworthy, and capable of reducing attack times. Additionally, Hannay Reels provides a variety of customizing choices for cable and hose reels.
