A gas-fed fire in a Staten Island house left six FDNY firefighters and a civilian injured Thursday.

Firefighters, who encountered heavy fire and smoke blowing from the house, were told that people were trapped. However, they found no one inside.

A firefighter who called a Mayday was quickly rescued by colleagues, abc 7 reported.

Five firefighters and a civilan were transported for treatment.
