A multi-family home fire on Greely Street in Hudson turned into a mayday incident when the floor collapsed, dropping a firefighter into the basement Thursday afternoon.
While battling the blaze, the floor collapsed dropping the firefighter into the basement and a mayday was called.
Hudson Fire Chief Robert Buxton told WMUR9, “the firefighter, who is a Nashua firefighter from the East Hollis station, was able to hold onto the hose line and his fellow firefighters were able to pull him up to safety.”
The Nashua firefighter involved in the mayday was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Multiple departments from the region assisted with the three-alarm fire.
