KANSAS CITY, Mo. --
A large fire broke out at a Kansas City, Mo. recycling plant at Wilson Road and Smalley Avenue Monday night.
The flames were so high they could be seen from Interstate 435.
Investigators said it appeared the fire started in some equipment at the facility. At one point, the fire spread from the equipment to some old crushed cars.
Firefighters said they had to call in water tankers to help fight the fire because not enough water was available at the site.
No one was injured in the fire.
