TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- A wildfire that was burning near Picacho Peak was contained Saturday night, fire officials said.

The Foster Fire, which burned about 1,200 acres of grass and brush, was fully contained by 6 p.m. The acreage total was revised down from Friday's estimate of 1,400 acres, said Cliff Pearlberg, a fire official with the State Land Department.

It's still not clear what started the Foster Fire. It began Thursday afternoon on a strip of state-owned land north of Picacho Peak and about 10 to 12 miles east of Interstate 10.

No structures were threatened by the fire, and no one had to be evacuated.
