TX Firefighter's Unit Damaged in Apartment Blaze

At least eight units, including one belonging to a Fort Worth firefighter, suffered fire, water or smoke damage in the two-alarm fire at the apartment building early Wednesday.

A fire damaged eight apartment units in Fort Worth on Wednesday morning, including one that was home to a Fort Worth firefighter.

The fire started around 2:15 a.m. in the 5000 block of Lincoln Oaks Drive in southwest Fort Worth. Firefighters successfully evacuated all the residents after they saw smoke coming from a first-floor apartment, fire officials said.

At least eight units were damaged by fire, water or smoke, officials said. An unknown number of residents were displaced.

No injuries were reported.
