A Connecticut firefighter was injured during a garage blaze that broke out near several residences early Sunday.
Stamford crews responded to a fire at a large three-bay garage at around 5 a.m., according to the department. When firefighters arrived, flames were venting through the roof and threatening nearby homes.
More than 20 firefighters battled the blaze and evacuated of the neighboring homes. Crews were able to contain the flames to the garage, and the fire was under control.
During the call, a firefighter suffered minor injuries, the department said. No details were given about the firefighter's condition or the nature of the injureis.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
