A New York firefighter was injured during a house fire early Thursday.
The fire broke out at about 1:30 a.m. in the Bay Shore area of Islip on Long Island, News 12 reports. Crews from four departments responded to the call.

A firefighter suffered unspecified injuries battling the fire and was taken to the hospital for treatment. No details were released concerning how the firefighter was injured or the extent of the injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
