The firefighter was injured and taken to a local hospital as crews battled a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in northwest Houston.

A Houston Fire Department firefighter was injured and taken to a local hospital as crews battled a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in northwest Houston.

The fire happened in the 5800 block of North Houston Rosslyn Road near Antoine Drive, according to an Houston Fire Department tweet.

Fire officials said preliminary reports point to the fire originating in a laundry room. Arson is conducting a further investigation.
