Photos: Fire Causes Extensive Damage to CO Apartments

Westminster firefighters were assisted by several fire departments to help contain the apartment building fire.

Sep. 24—Firefighters are battling a three-story apartment fire in Adams County on Friday afternoon.

The smoky fire is burning near West 90th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, according to the Westminster Fire Department. More than 20 firefighting units from multiple jurisdictions are suppressing the fire.

Federal Boulevard is partially shut down and drivers should avoid the area if possible.

All three stories of a building are being damaged by the fire. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
