A Houston firefighter was injured in an apartment blaze that damaged four units and displaced at least three families early Saturday.
The fire broke out just after midnight at the Ashford Willow Falls Apartments in a southwest area of the city, KHOU-TV reports. As crews worked to put out the flames, they encountered two dead hydrants and needed to use tank water from two apparatus.
A firefighter suffered heat exhaustion during the blaze. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
No one else was injured. Apartment residents were able to escape the fire safely, according to KHOU.
