San Fran Crews Stop Spread of Apartment Fire

San Francisco firefighters prevented flames from spreading to other apartments after a heavy fire broke out in a residential building late Saturday.

Sep. 26—One person was sent to the hospital after a fire broke out at a residential building in San Francisco's Mission District on Saturday night, firefighters said.

The San Francisco Fire Department did not immediately return calls seeking comment, but the San Francisco Firefighters Local 798 said on Twitter that one person was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries from the fire on Rondel Place. Firefighters were battling the blaze shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday.
