San Francisco firefighters fought a three-alarm warehouse fire early Saturday morning requiring 35 apparatus and over 100 firefighters.
Firefighters were called to the 300 block of Barneveld Avenue in the industrial Bayview District for fire in an unoccupied warehouse around 5:00 a.m., according to a tweet by PIO Lt. Jonathan Baxter.
Crews arrived to a working fire and deployed handlines while working to gain access to the structure.
As the fire progressed, aerial devices were set up for fire control as flames burned through the roof.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings and crews were expected to remain on scene to control flare-ups through the weekend.
