3-Alarm Fire Destroys PA Bowling Alley

March 31, 2022
A three-alarm fire tore through the Levittown Lanes bowling alley early Wednesday morning, destroying the business.

A three-alarm blaze destroyed a popular bowling alley in Bucks County early Wednesday morning, but no injuries were reported, authorities said.

Around 5:10 a.m., firefighters in Falls Township were dispatched to Levittown Lanes at 8815 New Falls Rd. and found a fire at the rear of the building that was quickly spreading, said Falls Township Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito.

Eventually a third alarm was struck, bringing fire companies from across lower Bucks County.

The blaze was declared under control around 9:30 a.m., Dippolito said.,

Dippolito said the ATF was called because they have more resources to investigate high-value losses. There were no reports of people in the building during the fire.

"I will be back in the morning to continue the investigation when I have some heavy equipment on site to remove the roof that collapsed," Dippolito said in an email.

Several roads near the fire were closed as firefighters worked to douse the flames. Pennsbury School District posted an alert on Twitter about transportation delays Wednesday morning.
