Firefighters were engaged in an hours-long firefight as flames swept through the Valley Hotel, a Jefferson Hill bar and grill, Sunday night.
Crews from area fire companies battled the flames for several hours before bringing it under control.
“(It) Just a large amount of volume fire. We had adequate water, adequate staffing, apparatus … it was just too far gone when we got there,” Jefferson Hills Fire Rescue Chief Brian Chalfant told WPXI 11.
Fire officials stated the building was being renovated and they were unsure if the renovation may have started the fire.
